The Ocean Shimmer Box is a quiet celebration of nature’s imperfections, handcrafted using organically farmed mother of pearl sourced from Eastern India. Every shell-cut gem is formed over time in freshwater mollusks, shaped by current, mineral, and weather. These pieces are then carefully selected and inlaid by hand to create a surface that glows with quiet, natural beauty. No two pieces are the same, not in size, not in pattern, not in shimmer.

Designed to feel like a found object from another time, its subtle irregularities are not flaws but signatures of authenticity. Whether it’s a place for polaroids, vintage coins, handwritten notes, or antique jewellery, this box isn’t just a container — it’s a keepsake for keepsakes.

Unlike mass-produced boxes, the Ocean Shimmer Box begins with the pearl, not the structure. Each shell fragment is chosen first, and the wooden base is then custom-built around its organic contours. This reversal of process allows the box to preserve the natural shape and scale of the material, creating forms that vary in size, thickness, and finish. The slight roughness of the edges and the asymmetry of the surface are deliberate, evoking old heirlooms, coastal finds, and objects that feel storied rather than styled. Every curve, every shimmer, every shift in hue is entirely natural.
